How to Check Glo Data Balance

1. Dial `*323#` and press call.

2. Your current data balance will display on screen within a few seconds.

Alternatively:

- Dial `*312#` and select the option for checking your data bundle, which also shows your plan name and expiry date.

- Dial `*301#` as another route to your current balance if the others are slow to respond.

2. You'll receive a text back with your current data balance — useful if USSD isn't responding due to network congestion.

3. Your data balance, plan name, and expiry date will display on the home dashboard.

4. The app also shows any bonus or night data separately from your main bundle, which USSD codes don't always break out clearly.

If you'd rather not install an app, Glo's self-care web portal offers the same balance information. Log in with your Glo number and a one-time password sent to your phone, and your dashboard will show your current data and airtime balances.

If you have more than one data bundle active at the same time — for example, an Hourly bundle layered on top of a monthly plan — Glo draws from whichever bundle is closest to expiry first. This means your "balance" isn't always a single number; checking via the app or 312# menu (rather than the simple 323# balance check) gives you the clearer full picture when you have multiple bundles running.

- Weak network signal. USSD codes need an active connection to process, so a low-signal area can cause the request to time out or fail silently.

- An inactive line. If the SIM hasn't been used recently, some USSD services can be temporarily disabled until you make a call, send a text, or top up.

- A mistyped code. USSD strings are exact — missing a symbol or digit returns an error instead of your balance.

If none of the above explain a failed check, dialing 121 or 200 from your Glo line connects you to customer care, who can confirm your balance directly.

Since most Glo data plans run on a validity window measured in days rather than purely on usage, it's easy to have unused data expire before you get to it, or to run out earlier than expected without realizing your bundle's clock was already ticking. A quick *323# check every few days, or glancing at the Glo Café dashboard when you open the app for something else, keeps both surprises off the table.
